We are talking today with Sania Peric, the president of the Croatian Alliance for Rare Diseases, which organized recently the Europlan Conference in Zagreb and Dorica Dan attended the conference to reprezent Eurordis. Croatia's first Rare Disease Day celebration was in 2009, when patient representatives paid a visit to the President. In 2016, the Croatian National Alliance for Rare Disease in collaboration with others attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the largest online photo album of hugs. The "Hug for Rare" campaign continued in 2017, gathering even more photos of hugs to show support for people with rare diseases and their families. Good wishes and messages were also collected on "trees of life" in cities all around Croatia and shared on social media. More about Europlan and next camaign for Rare Diseases Day in the interview.
