The Romanian National Alliance for Rare Diseases is a member of Rare Diseases International from the very beginning. It is progressing well with the work to get rare diseases included within the UN Political Declaration on Universal Health Coverage, expected to be adopted by Member States at a High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage at the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York on 23 September 2019. As part of RDI strategy to influence the discussions on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) at the international level in order to include rare diseases within the implementation of UHC at national level, RDI is preparing a Position Paper on Rare diseases in Universal Health Coverage. Lets listen to the debate around this topic that took place at the RDI Membership meeting organized in New York on the 20th of February.
